Hawk (I think) in the Backyard

Luna started making a lot of noise the other day. Doug asked me to check them out - he was right in the middle of something. So, I went out and peeked around the corner of the house. Sitting on the fence above the chickens was a hawk. It was just sitting there watching the chickens below. Then, it flew to sit on a pole on the chicken coop. The chickens did not like that at all! They were making all kinds of noise, along with all the birds in the vicinity. It was quite a sight to see.

Decorating at my parent's house

Ryan & Baylee decorating Grandma's tree:

As tradition, we went to my mom's house to decorate her tree for Christmas. I think Grandma enjoys watching her Grandchildren around her house. This year, Ryan and Baylee (my great-niece) decorated together. They had a great time! The two of them were very cute together. Ryan would put the ornaments on and Baylee would take them off to get a better look at each one. They did get the tree decorated, after mom fed us a yummy dinner of Potato Dumplings (also a tradition for the decorating day.) Thanks for inviting us over mom!

Christmas Lights

Sorry for the delay in posts. With the holidays, schoolwork and me starting a new job, I have not been on my computer much.
Last week, on a whim, we went out to see Christmas Lights. We started at the Gilbert lights, and then went to the lights at the Mesa Temple. They are as gorgeous as ever.

I loved the lighting on Doug & Ryan here. They were enjoying a lighting display. They look very angelic to me here.

Bowling Family Fun

We went out for a fun hour of bowling. The local bowling alley let's you pay for the lane for an hour. We bowled almost 2 complete games - up to 8 frames of the second game. It was pretty fun. Other than the very crowded alley. We had fun trying to knock those pins down.

And they all lived together . . .

Our young chickens in their old home:

In case you didn't know, this is the way to move chickens:

Doug, with the baby chicks in the box, ready to be moved in with Luna, our older hen:

Coco and Frankie checking out their new home:

All 3 chickens together:

Well, our little chicks aren't little chicks anymore. We moved Coco and Frankie into the big chicken coop earlier this week. They were outgrowing their make shift home. So, we decided it was time. I was a little nervous how Luna was going to react to the new additions to her home. It was pretty boring to watch actually. She eyed them a little bit and then the three of them just walked around scratching and pecking at the ground. I have noticed the two youngin's stick together.
