The Making of the Eggs

This year, we made two types of eggs for Easter. First, we made Rice Krispie Treat Eggs. Doug used plastic Easter Eggs for the forms and filled them with mixture. They were perfect egg-shaped treats. We then dipped them in chocolate and covered with sprinkles. Yum! I love Rice Krispie treats. After finishing those eggs, we moved on to dying Easter eggs. We used only Luna eggs because hers are lighter and would take the dye better. They came out very vibrant. A fun evening of egg making.

Those chocolate dipped rice crispie eggs look so good! I was wondering how your eggs would turn out-they are so bright! It was fun seeing you guys for Easter. I hope you guys are feeling better!

The rice krispie eggs were very fun to make - we let them sit out a little too long & they got harder than I would have liked. We will definitely make them again next year! I was surprised with how bright Luna's eggs dyed. It was fun to watch them. Maybe next year we will have to dye some of the brown ones too.
